What we remodel

Bathrooms first, and kitchens: 16 services, each with its own page. That covers full bathroom remodels, shower rebuilds, tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in showers and tubs, tub replacement, small, primary and basement bathrooms, and safer bathrooms for aging in place; and in the kitchen: full kitchen remodels, new cabinets, refacing and painting, countertops and opening a wall to the living room.

Other trades and not offered here: additions, roofing, windows, finishing a whole basement, and stand-alone plumbing, electrical or HVAC service calls.

Where the numbers and rules come from

Prices come from dated, named sources: NailThePrice's Fort Collins figures drawn from the U.S. Census American Housing Survey, Remodeling magazine's 2025 Cost vs Value report for the Mountain region, Fixr's 2025 and 2026 cost guides and This Old House's 2026 homeowner survey. The bathroom and kitchen cost pages show how they compare.

Rules come from the offices that set them: the City of Fort Collins Building Permits and Contractor Licensing pages, Larimer County's permit guide, each town's building department, the EPA, Colorado's Regulation No. 8, Fort Collins Utilities, CMS and the VA. Town rules were read from each town's published permit pages; call the office listed on the town's page before applying. The permit, license, lead and asbestos and water guides were last reviewed in November 2026.
