Bathroom and kitchen remodeling in Timnath's newer homes
Timnath was founded in 1882 and incorporated in 1920, and sits on a bluff east of the Cache la Poudre River, between Fort Collins and Windsor. It has kept growing since the 2020 census, to an estimated 11,600 people in 2025, with homes and shopping spreading along the Harmony Road corridor by I-25. Most Timnath houses are therefore recent, and remodel requests tend to be about the finishes the builder chose.
Typical upgrades in a newer house
- A builder-standard alcove tub in the primary bath, swapped for a large walk-in shower.
- A single-sink vanity with a cultured-marble top, replaced with a double vanity and quartz.
- Flat-panel cabinet doors and laminate counters in the kitchen, upgraded to stone and new hardware.
- A basement with capped drains, finished into a three-quarter bath.

Timnath permits and contractor licenses
Because the Town has its own contractor license application, ask its permit technician (970-449-4639) whether your contractor needs a Timnath license, and what a smaller bathroom or kitchen job needs to submit.
